Our professionals in the electrical patents group hold degrees in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Physics, and offer over 60 years of combined experience.
Our clients include multinational conglomerates, high tech medical device companies, pharmaceutical companies, health care management companies, instrumentation companies, universities, and other private and publicly held companies. Our clientele have been acquired in mergers and acquisitions, have licensed or been granted licenses to complex electrical technologies, or monetized their intellectual property in other exits.
“Control Systems having a SIM for Controlling a Computing Device”
A system and associated method are provided. The system includes a subscriber identification module (SIM) including a memory configured to store one or more executable instructions and a processor configured to execute the one or more executable instructions for controlling a device, a device configured for being controlled by the SIM, and a SIM interface configured to communicate the instructions from the SIM to control the device. The SIM interface includes a processor configured to communicate the commands from the SIM to control the device.
“RFID Chip and Antenna”
A Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) device antenna has a feed region of interdigitated fingers. The interdigitated fingers have parallel centerlines and are spaced one from another. A chip having opposing ends overlays opposing interdigitated fingers. A coupling is established between the chip and the antenna at the interdigitated fingers.
“Multi-Level Thermal Air Cooled LED Light Fixture”
There is provided a lighting fixture adapted to be installed on a ceiling having a predetermined plane. A light emitting diode light source is supported by the lighting fixture. At least a portion of the lighting fixture protrudes below the plane of the ceiling supported by the lighting fixture. A heat sink is attached to the back side of the LED light source. The heat sink includes a thermal chimney directing heat away from the LED light source.
“RFID Transponder Using Ambient Radiation”
A tag operates in an environment where transmitted interrogators are not possible or desired. High-efficiency diode rectifiers and low-power oscillators are used in combination with an energy storage element and hysteretic switch. The combination of multi-diode rectifier, low power tunnel diode oscillator, energy storage element and hysteretic switch allow for nanowatt levels of received RF power to be stored to produce micro-watts of RF transmit power. The device trickle charges off of ambient RF radiation until enough energy is stored for transmission.
